#About
Dexter started climbing at the early age of 7 at a birthday party at the old climbing gym The Vision and kept going from there. Dexter was born in Scotland and mostly grew up in Canmore, with a few of those years spent in Revy and Northern Ontario. If he's not out climbing, you can find him at the Canmore Hospital as a full time nurse. Dexter spends the majority of his summers on the wall, and with that comes many accomplishments including FA's on New Normal 12d/13a, 2AM wake up call 12d and Blow at High Dough 13b/c.
#5QuickQuestions
1) Where does the passion for climbing come from? Not too sure really. I guess I just really enjoy doing it and love to meet new people and see new places. 2) Where do you really want to climb in the future? South Africa, Yosemite, Spain and more climbing destinations with crags by the ocean. 3) What's your favourite climbing destination worldwide? Squamish, Kalymnos, China and the Bow Valley 4) Which climbers inspire you? My first coach Dung Nguyen, he's one of the reasons I fell in love with climbing. I also find climbers who have kids, work full time jobs and who can still push themselves very inspiring. 5) What's the one thing you love the most about being on the wall? Being in the sun with a nice view, not caring about anything but the climb.
