#About
Originally from Ontario, Sarah has called Canmore home for 4 years now. She stepped foot in the Rockies in 2017 and fell in love with mountains, the lifestyle, and the wonderful people in the Valley. She began running just over 2 years ago, looking for a way to be productive during lockdown. Whether it’s +30 or -30 you can find Sarah in her runners out on the trails in Banff and Canmore. However, if the snow has fallen heavily overnight, she’ll be out at one of the SkiBig3 resorts getting some turns in.
#5QuickQuestions
1) Where does the passion for running come from? I just love being able to get out and enjoy the mountains multiple hours a day, and running long distances allows me to do that! 2) What do you think about when you’re out there for long periods of time? To be completely honest, not much! Sometimes I’ll listen to a podcast or music but I use it as alone time to just be out enjoying nature. 3) Favourite place to run? I love the trails in Canmore, however, I recently ran in the desert and I think that takes the cake. 4) Who inspires you to run? The insane community in the Valley has really pushed me and inspired me to get outside my comfort zone. But my friend Bre has truly been my main source of inspiration throughout my running career. 5) What’s your go-to snack when out in the mountains? I love sandwiches, never a bad day when I’ve got one in my pack!

I feel like I’m just getting started when it comes to running, luckily it’s something I can do for a long time in a variety of locations. I’m looking to continue tacking on the kilometres and experience racing in different parts of the world!
